The Dorn Method is a gentle manual technique in which I help return the vertebrae and joints to their natural position. Unlike forceful techniques, I work slowly and safely — with light pressure of the thumb while you make a small movement with a limb. The method is popular for back pain, pelvic imbalance and joint pain.
How the Dorn Method works
First I check the position of the pelvis, the length of the legs and the spine. Then, with gentle thumb pressure in rhythm with your movement (for example, swinging your leg), I guide the vertebrae and joints back into the correct position. Everything is gradual and safe, with no sharp thrusts.
The Dorn Method is often combined with the Breuss massage, which prepares and relaxes the spine.
What the Dorn Method helps with
- Pain in the back and cervical spine
- Pelvic imbalance and uneven leg length
- Pain in the hips, knees and joints
- Headaches linked to the cervical spine
- Poor posture
Who it is suitable for
- People with recurring back and joint pain
- Sedentary jobs and one-sided strain
- Anyone looking for a gentle alternative to forceful techniques
What to keep in mind
The Dorn Method is gentle, yet I do not recommend it in cases of acute inflammation, fresh injuries, osteoporosis or serious spinal problems without consulting your doctor. Please inform me of any health limitations in advance.
