Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle, sensitive method of working with the body. I work with a light touch in the area of the head, spine and sacrum, supporting the body's natural self-healing processes. Although the touch is very gentle, its effect on releasing tension and calming the nervous system tends to be surprisingly deep.
How craniosacral therapy works
Throughout the session you stay comfortably dressed and lie quietly. With very gentle touches I listen to the body and support release in places where tension has accumulated. Nothing is pushed or corrected by force — the therapy works in harmony with the body and its own pace.
Many people experience deep calming during the therapy, a slowing of the breath and a feeling as if they had 'set down' tension they had carried for a long time.
